Fire & Schism

fire_schism

Taken back in 2009, this is the floor of Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria. The yellow light is the reflection of a light high above in the Cathedral (which represents ‘Fire’). I have always loved this piece and it makes a beautiful abstract piece in a large format canvas.

“The light that fueled our fire then has burned a hole between us so” . . . lyrics from “Schism” by Tool.

Schism: is a division between people or to denote splits within a church or religious body.

I have been going through old files of past work I have done and might be posting a few that may or may not have been seen before. Music has always inspired my work.
